“You need to stand up for what you believe”

They said.

Hands on hips. Convinced.

(If you don’t stand, you’re weak)

“What you believe needs to match my beliefs”

They felt.

We hate fighting, but we will to protect our beliefs.

(If you don’t agree, we might hate you)

“What you believe is a reflection of your worth”

They believed.

Worth is only as deep as beliefs.

(If you don’t believe, you’re unworthy)

“What if my strength and worth is not tied to my beliefs at all?” I asked.

“What if yours isn’t, either?” I asked, as well.

They blinked.

What if we are so much more than what we believe?

Thanks for reading!
